At Sea You Hotels we are determined to be part of these sustainable accommodations. That is why we are gradually implementing measures that help to take care of the environment of our accommodations.
In the case of the Port Saplaya Apartments , we are going to discuss some of these measures to help take care of Port Saplaya.
Thanks to government aid and subsidies, such as the Next Generation funds, we are investing 1.7 million euros in our Sea You Apartamentos Port Saplaya complex to improve energy efficiency .
Among the measures that have been carried out, we will comment on some of them. We started by replacing windows with more insulating systems such as PVC windows with RPT and double glazing type climalit. This allows for better thermal insulation (cold and heat) and acoustic insulation.
We also installed solar panels to take advantage of photovoltaic energy and upgraded the air conditioning and lighting to more efficient, sustainable and low-consumption options.
We continued with the incorporation of home automation systems for better use of energy, such as LED sensors, open window control, etc. The façade was improved with SATE , a construction technique that significantly improves the thermal and acoustic insulation of the building. Finally, aerators were installed in the taps to reduce water consumption.
The project has been carried out in different phases. The first phase began with the Mesana building, with 26 apartments, during the months of March to June, both inclusive. This represented a blockage of approximately one third of the establishment, and the work was completed in time for the high season.
In this way, we aim to reduce electricity consumption by around 30% as well as water consumption. Obtaining the energy needed for our apartments from more sustainable sources, generating fewer emissions and improving the energy ratings of our buildings. All this, as always, to achieve greater comfort for our clients during their stay in our accommodation.
